FUEL-LESS MANGAL WATER WHEEL TURBINE PUMP-CUM-P.T.O. MACHINE1-INTRODUCTION:-
India is an agricultural country. In the country side there are many river lets and water streams .Many farmers lift water from those streams to irrigate their crops by installing diesel pumps or electric pumps which require diesel or electricity. However, the energy of flowing water can be harnessed for lifting water for irrigation purposes and also for other rural works in remote areas by fuel-less Mangal water wheel turbine pump –cum- P.T.O. Machine invented by Sri Mangal Singh. It requires low water head up to one meter which can be created by low cost check dams. It can be run in only zero head by flowing water current also if water quantity is sufficient in stream. I got Indian Patent for my Innovation in 1997 (Now Patent has been renewed).2-CONSTRUCTION:-
The water wheel turbine machine consists a water wheel which is firmly mounted on a steel shaft and supports on tow bearing blocks fixed on foundation supports. The shaft is coupled with a suitable gearbox through universal couplings for stepping up speed of rotation. Output shaft of the gear box is coupled on one end with a centrifugal pump for lifting water and other end is mounted with a suitable pulley for driving power for operating any machine. Design of the water wheel turbine is simple. It is available in different size to meet the varying requirements.3-OPERATION:-
Operation of the water wheel Turbine Pump Cum P.T.O. Machine is very easy. Old, adults and children can also operate the machine by opening the wooden or steel gate valve .The Machine is stopped by stopping the flow of water through the gate.4-CHARACTERISTICS:-
The Machine has many characteristics as fellow:-
1-No diesel or electricity is required to operate the pump or any other machine.
2-Design of the machine is simple and it can be operated easily.
3-water can be lifted many times more than available head.
4-It can be used for doing multifarious and agricultural works is addition to water pumping such as atta chakki, sugarcane crushing, threshing oil expelling chaff cutting etc.
5-It does not create any environmental hazards.
6-It provides clean alternative (non –conventional) source of energy in remote rural areas for increasing agricultural productivity rural employment and income.
7-Large area of land can be irrigated by using the fuel-less pump. Energy conservation efficiency and operating costs are minimum.
Fuel-less Mangal Turbine Pump cum P.T.O. Machine is used for pumping water from the river lets and water streams on which it is installed the machine can be used for multifarious rural work such as operating Atta Chakki, sugarcane crushing, threshing and winnowing, oil expelling, chaff cutting etc. the machine provides a clean alternative (non-conventional ) source of energy in remote rural areas for increasing agricultural productivity income and employment.6- SUPPLY RATES AND SOURCE OF AVAILABILITY:-

Carbon Dioxide Emission
Estimate for saving in Carbon Dioxide Emission from one unit of Mangal Turbine used for Irrigation Purpose
1. One unit of Mangal Turbine will lift water from stream which is equivalent to 25 HP diesel pump set and irrigate a command area of 50 ha. For this purpose in Northern India conditions Mangal Turbine will be used as under
a. During September or supplement any irrigation of 40 days
Kharif crops and in October for pre-sowing irrigation of Rabi crops.
b. From Nov. to April irrigation of Rabi crops 150 days
Total 190 days
2. One each working day Mangal Turbine will be run for 11 hrs. for irrigation purpose. Thus it will avoid use of 25 HP diesel pump set for 11 hrs./day which uses diesel @4 liters/ hour. Thus, use of 44 liters of diesel/day will be saved from each unit of Mangal Turbine.
3. Normal working life of one unit of Mangal Turbine is estimated to be 15 years.
B. Estimation of savings in Carbon Dioxide Emission from one unit of Mangal Turbine
1. Diesel carbon content/gallon 2778 gm
2. Oxidation factor 0.99
3. CO2 emission/gallon = Carbon Content X Oxidation factor
Molecular of CO2 (44)X Molecular wt of carbon (12)
277bx0.99/44x12 = 100845 gm. = 10.1 kg
4. 1 gallon = 3.7854 liters
5. 10.1 kg/gallon = 2.668kg/liter
6. Use of diesel by 25 hp pump set = 44 liters/day
7. Use of diesel by 25 hp pump set in a year
(i.e. 190 days) for irrigation = 44 x 190 = 8360 liters
8. Saving of diesel by Mangal Turbine for 15 years = 8360 x 15 = 125400 liters
9. Saving in CO2 emission by Mangal Turbine/unit = 125400 liters x 2.668 kg/ltr.
= 334567 kg.
= 335 tonnes
Note- In addition to irrigation, the Mangal Turbine can also be used for threshing of agricultural produce, cane crushing and other agricultural produce processing which can be performed during nights or when the turbine is not being used for irrigation. So, saving in CO2 emission for these operations will be additional to above estimate of irrigation purpose

We have done a numbers of projects in defferent states of India. Some of them are completed successfully but some of them are in middle state due to wide spread corruption. See More >>
I have invented Mangal Turbine in 1987.Initially it was built by using wooden material but later i have modified it.See more >>
